Transportation of a 196-ton SIEMENS Transformer originating in the Port of Seville and destined for the SOLAR CENTURY solar thermal substation in Talayuela, province of Cáceres - Spain.
Its weight, and the fact that the railway line passed through the center of the solar thermal plant grounds, made the railway the optimal means of transport.

There was little time to remove it from the track and the ripping had to be done at night. The following day, the Hydraulic Gantry, with a capacity of 410 tons, was assembled to proceed with the loading of the transformer onto a 12-axle SPMT trailer.

After traveling approximately half a kilometer on the trailer, we entered the substation. Finally, we reassembled our Self-Propelled Hydraulic Gantry to unload the transformer, fit it with wheels, and drag it to its final location.
